Cardiorespiratory Fitness

Why knowing your VO₂ max is important

Dr. Peter Attia calls VO₂ max the measure of how much oxygen your body can use during  exercise—“the single most powerful marker for longevity.” It’s not just about endurance or athleticism; VO₂ max strongly predicts your risk of chronic disease, disability, and even death.

KORR Medical VO₂ Testing System

At our clinic, we use KORR Medical’s VO₂ testing system and the Cardio Coach app to accurately measure your current fitness level and create a personalized training program. Whether you’re just starting out or already active, testing your VO₂ max helps ensure your effort is targeted, safe, and effective—so you can stay strong, mobile, and independent for years to come.

DEEPER DIVE INTO THE RESEARCH

In fact, a 2018 meta-analysis published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) found that higher cardiorespiratory fitness levels were associated with significantly lower all-cause mortality—with no upper limit to the benefits.

Another 2021 systematic review in Progress in Cardiovascular Diseases confirmed that each increase in VO₂ max was linked to meaningful reductions in cardiovascular and all-cause mortality, regardless of age or health status.

$250 test includes detailed report, access to personalized fitness app, and general exercise recommendations to improve VO2 Max.
